Creating a Shipment

Shippy makes it easy to create and manage shipments directly within HubSpot.

Here’s how to generate a label from a CRM record.

Create Shipment

On any HubSpot record where the Shippy card is enabled, locate the card within the right-hand sidebar and click Create Shipment.

Confirm Sender & Recipient Addresses

  • The Sender's Address is your address, or the address you are shipping from. If you added a default preset address in Settings, it will display here. If you haven't added a preset, you may enter your address using Click to search and it will auto-fill via Google Maps:

  • The Recipient's Address is automatically pulled from the HubSpot record. If you're creating the shipment within a contact or company, it will suggest the address based on the default HubSpot address properties. If you're on a deal or ticket, it will suggest the addresses of any associated contacts or companies.
  • If you'd like to save either address as a Preset for future use, you may click "Save as preset" before proceeding:

💡 Selecting the return label checkbox will NOT include an additional label for returns. However, if you're generating a return label or providing a label to receive a shipment, checking the "Return label" box will automatically reverse the addresses to include the contact's address as the Sender and your address as the Recipient.

Add Your Packages

Shippy will automatically provide space for one package - you may add additional packages if applicable for the same destination. If you have added a default package in your Settings, it will load as the package provided. However, if you'd like to select a different preset package or enter dimensions/weight for a new package, you may do so by selecting your preset or "Custom" under Choose your package.

If you opt to enter custom package dimensions, you must include Length, Width, Height, and Weight, as well as Quantity.

Quantity refers to the amount of packages with the dimensions/weight you have provided.

Select Carrier & Rate

Shippy will display available shipping rates in real-time. Carrier rates are dependent on distance, weight, and dimensions you have specified in the previous section.

When selecting your carrier and rate, you may sort by Price or Delivery time. If sorted by price, it will display the cheapest options first. If by delivery time, it will display the quickest timeline to deliver:

Regardless of sorting, each option will include the estimated days for delivery and the price for the selected service.

Once you've decided on your ideal service, select the checkbox on the left-hand side of the carrier's logo and click Next.

Review Shipment

At this stage, you'll be prompted to review your details. This includes the Sender's Address, Recipient's Address, packages, and selected rate. If you are satisfied with the information provided, you may click Generate.

Once you generate your label, you are unable to change any details without refunding and restarting the process. Please confirm all information prior to finalizing your shipment.

Download or Manage Labels

After generating your shipment, you'll be able to Download or Manage your labels. If you need to print, you may opt to download or do so at a later date.

If you'd like to review all shipments created to date, select Manage your labels. This will lead you to your Shipments, where you can download in bulk if required. You can also access Shipments at any time from Shippy by Dijy > Settings > More > Shipments.

Should you require a refund, you may initiate this within Shipments. Refunds are only applicable prior to shipment - once scanned by the carrier, the label generated is non-refundable. Clicking Refund will void the label and send a refund request to the carrier selected.
