Based on your HubSpot + Shippy subscriptions, you can leverage workflows to automate a variety of Shippy actions. If workflows are available in your portal, enhance your process through the following automations:
Super Shipper, Power Shipper, Mega Shipper
Create shipments
Domestic & international, including customs documentation!
Generate packing slips
Pay-As-You-Go or Lite Shipper
Send shipment notifications
Receive tracking reminders
Update deal stages
Shippy is compatible with contact, company, deal, ticket, custom object, and order-based workflows.
Create Shipment: Included in Super, Power, or Mega Shipper Tiers
To save time with shipment generation, teams can choose to automate label creation based on key events, such as closing a deal or updating property values. Once configured, Create Shipment does exactly that - shipments are created without manual intervention, streamlining the process and removing the margin for error.
To use Create Shipment, search workflow actions for Shippy by Dijy. Select Create Shipment. You must include:
Carrier Service
Preset Package
Sender's Preset Address
Recipient Name
Recipient Street Address, City, State/Region, Postal Code, and Country
This workflow action allows you to rely on tokens for the name and address fields:
💡 This provides the opportunity to store recipient data in dedicated fields and reference address properties beyond HubSpot's defaults.
Do you need to auto-Create International Shipments? There's an action for that as well, just be sure to provide:
Everything from Create Shipment, plus
Contents Type*
Contents Explanation
EEL/PFC
Customs Certify
Customs Signer*
Item Description*
Item Quantity*
Item Weight*
Item Value*
Item Origin Country*
Item HS Tariff Number
Item Code/SKU
Required fields are marked by an asterisk. This includes all customs declaration requirements within the action:
💡 Dijy Tip: Optimize shipment auto-creation through branch actions for various products or countries. From there, you can have multiple outputs, including international and domestic shipments within the same flow!
Generate Packing Slip: Included in Super, Power, or Mega Shipper Tiers
But wait - there's more! If you're in a deal-based workflow, you'll have access to another action: Generate Packing Slip. This allows your team to auto-create packing slips for internal or external use once line items have been added.
To use Generate Packing Slip:
Search workflow actions for Shippy by Dijy
Select Generate Packing Slip
Use the dropdown to indicate whether you'd like to Include Barcode:
No Barcode, or
With Shipment Data
Click Save.
Once the deal has passed through this workflow action, you'll be able to retrieve the packing slip directly on the Shippy | Generate Packing Slip app card OR in your Shippy Settings > Packing Slips.
Please note: packing slips cannot be generated if no line items are associated to the deal.
Tracking Notifications: Included in All Shippy Tiers
If your team has experience building workflows, you can maximize Shippy’s native tracking status updates on associated order objects. Create an order-based workflow to send customer notifications when a shipment is created or shipped, and trigger internal alerts as shipment statuses change.
Because Shippy by Dijy passes all live tracking information to the associated order, you're able to reference the following fields to send real-time updates:
Recent Shippy Tracking Status
Includes Pre-Transit, In Transit, Out for Delivery, Delivered, Available for Pickup, Return to Sender, Error, and more.
Recent Shippy Tracking Status Detail
Includes Label Created, Departed Facility, Departed Origin Facility, Arrived at Destination, Delayed, and many more!
Here's a sneak peek at one of our many order-based shipment notification workflows (hint hint, "Delay until property value changed" is your friend):
Update Deal Stage: Included in All Shippy Tiers
Finally, you may want HubSpot to recognize that a deal is officially "Closed Won" when the shipment status has been updated to "Delivered." You can rely on Shippy Recent Tracking Status for this as well, simply use the following trigger criteria in a deal-based flow:
Deal is associated to any order, and
Shippy Recent Tracking Status (on associated order) is "Delivered."
From there, you'll want to use the Edit action to update the Deal Stage to "Closed Won." If you have additional shipment-related stages in your pipeline, you can apply the same logic; just update the trigger criteria to reflect!
