Coming soon: international address verification!

Create an International Shipment

To ship across borders, your process in Shippy will vary slightly. You'll begin with sender + recipient address entry and enter your package(s) - next, you'll be directed to a Customs page for shipment declaration.

First, indicate your contents type. This includes Merchandise, Documents, Gifts, and more. Incoterm specifies who pays duty and taxes for your shipment. EEL/PFC, or export information, is required for shipments from the United States with a value greater than $2,500.

For more information on Exemption & Exclusion Legends (EEL) and Proof of Filing Citations (PFC), please visit United States Census Bureau: Annotating an Export Shipment.

Additional details regarding exemptions can be located at the Code of Federal Regulations: Miscellaneous Exemptions.

If shipping from an international location, be sure to comply with local EEL/PFC regulations.

Once satisfied with your selections, use the checkbox to certify that the information you've provided is accurate. You'll then provide the full name of the person certifying the customs form. This serves as their official signature on the shipment declaration.

Finally, you'll need to provide details for the items you intend to ship. This includes:

  1. Description

  2. Quantity

  3. Weight

  4. Value (USD)

  5. HS Tariff Number

  6. Origin Country, and

  7. Product Code or SKU.

If you're shipping more than one item within your package, be sure to Add Item and repeat #1-7 above.

Beyond the Customs declaration, you'll follow the same Shippy process - select your international rate by carrier, price, or delivery time, review your details, and generate a shipping label.

Track Your Shipment

Depending on the carrier and rate you've selected, you may have tracking abilities to monitor the shipment and share with your recipient. If available, the tracking details/URL will be available on your "Shippy | View Packages" app card, as well as the associated Order object.
