When using Shippy with deals in HubSpot, you have the option to generate a packing slip, which references the associated line items to that record. Whether you plan to include the packing slip for internal warehouse use or customer-facing receipt purposes, Shippy allows you to create the packing slip manually within each deal or automatically via workflow.
In your Shippy settings, you can opt to:
Add a logo
Add a primary brand color
Include pricing (unit price + amount)
Read on below to discover how to maximize packing slips with Shippy.
What's Included on Packing Slips?
Shippy's packing slips are specific to deals with associated line items. The purpose of a packing slip is to provide an itemized PDF, so each packing slip includes:
Company name (logo)
Company address
Record ID
Close Date
Item #, or SKU
Item Description
Quantity
Unit price (if enabled)
Amount (if enabled)
To enable price, head to your Shippy Settings > Account > Preferences and toggle ON: Show prices in packing slips.
Add Branding: Logo & Color
To compliment your brand, you may add a logo and primary color to display on your slips. This can be especially useful if relying on packing slips as a receipt for each shipment.
To add a logo and color, locate Shippy Settings > Account > Business Information and scroll to the bottom of that section. Paste a direct link to your logo image (PNG or JPG) and add the HEX code for your primary color. Click save.
π‘ When including the logo URL, be sure the sharing permissions are public.
Generate Packing Slips
If you're ready to use packing slips with Shippy, you'll first need to ensure the custom app card is enabled:
Locate App Cards in your Shippy settings. This will be the final tab when accessing Shippy by Dijy in your Connected Apps.
Find Shippy | Generate Packing Slip and select Manage locations.
Select the checkbox for the right sidebar under Record Page: Default view.
Select the checkbox for Deal Execution.
Click Save.
Once you've added the app card, you're welcome to head to deal record customization to reorder the cards or do so on an individual deal for ease of use.
If you'd like to manually generate a packing slip once line items have been added, locate the app card within your deal and select Generate. Should you require a unique barcode on each slip, you may toggle ON the "Barcode" function. Once generated, you'll be able to print by clicking Download and printing from a separate tab.
π‘ Bulk-print packing slips within your Shippy Settings > Packing Slips > Generate merged PDF.
If your HubSpot subscription includes workflow, you may utilize custom Shippy actions in workflow to auto-generate packing slips. Simply search for "Shippy by Dijy" on a deal-based workflow to locate Generate Packing Slip. When adding this action, you'll want to indicate whether to include a barcode. Click Save and publish your workflow.
