Property Mapping

Set your own default recipient fields in Shippy Settings.

Are you storing recipient details in separate shipping fields instead of HubSpot’s default name, address, phone, or email properties? If so, head over to your Shippy settings and set those up as your default recipient fields.

Shippy's property mapping covers a variety of objects, including:

  • Contacts

  • Companies

  • Deals

  • Tickets

  • Orders

Depending on the object you plan to use most frequently, we'd recommend updating the recipient's shipment properties accordingly. This ensures Shippy will always fetch the most accurate recipient data from your portal.

Update Recipient Properties

To configure your own shipping fields, follow the steps below.

  1. Navigate to Shippy by Dijy in your connected apps. You can access Shippy's Settings in one of three ways:

    1. From the Shippy app card on HubSpot objects > Settings

    2. HubSpot Settings > Integrations > Connected Apps > Shippy by Dijy > Settings

    3. Top Navigation Bar > HubSpot Marketplace Icon > Connected Apps > Shippy by Dijy > Settings

  2. Under the Account tab, locate Property Mapping:

  3. Expand the module. First, indicate your HubSpot Object Type as contact, company, deal, ticket, or order.

    1. The object you select will contain the fields you're looking to update, so this should be the object(s) where you plan to generate shipments.

    2. If you'd like to update fields on multiple objects, follow steps #3-6 and repeat the actions for each object.

  4. Under Recipient Name, select the field you'd like to rely on. If you'd like to use more than one field - such as first name and last name - toggle Multi to ON and select your fields from the dropdown:

  5. Following the same logic as step #4, add your default fields for:

    1. Company

    2. Street Address

    3. Street Address Line 2

    4. City

    5. State/Province

    6. Zip/Postal Code

    7. Country

    8. Phone Number

    9. Email

  6. Once you're satisfied with your property mapping updates, scroll to the top and select Save Mappings:

💡 In order to ensure your mappings apply to your selected object, be sure to save mappings before moving on to your next object type!

Reset to Default Mapping

If your desired fields aren't filled as reliably as you had hoped, you can revert back to HubSpot's defaults with ease.

  1. Head to Shippy Settings > Account > Property Mapping.

  2. Select your HubSpot Object Type.

  3. Select Reset to Defaults:
